Our Process
Our process is simple and straightforward. First of all, send us a quick email or drop us a line. Please visit this page and provide the requested
information. If we are interested, we will construct a quote. If that is accepted, we will arrange a convenient time to visit the property to assess the collection in person. We will then begin the process of clearing the books from the property. This includes carefully sorting through the collection, packing and transporting the books to our premises, and making payment via instant bank transfer or cash.

From all the wonderful Folio Society books purchased during this trip, it was hard to choose a favourite. As a fan of this novel, I love the tone that the covers set. The image of the lightning hitting the mountain tops. The texture of the cover illustration and the wonderfully bold wood engravings by Harry Brockway to accompany the text. A superb version of this spellbinding novel.
A Case Study

We were off again for an overnight buying trip. The first stop was Newport, South Wales. Then we stopped at Penistone, South Yorkshire on our return. I used to live in South Wales, so it’s always a bit nostalgic for me to cross the Severn Bridge into familiar territory.

This consisted of a large collection of Folio Society Books, including many wonderful sets and other familiar titles. We do love buying folio books as they are so well crafted. In our experience, the vast majority are found in unread conditions. They tend to be bought and collected, which is understandable, but still a shame as they are such wonderful productions. Alongside these was a very comprehensive collection of chess books. From Kasparov to Karlsen and Bobby Fischer to Emanuel Lasker. Chess tournaments, game collections and biographies.
